Logan Hodgson joins Octave as Client Director

Kia ora! For a bit of background, I grew up in the far north, enjoying the Kiwi /Northland life of beaches, fishing, rugby and working on my Dad's building projects. I chose to study design at Massey in Wellington and immediately fell in love with the city, the coffee, the arts and the mountain bike trails.

I have worked in Wellington agencies or digital companies for the last 18 years, apart from spending time doing volunteer work in Cambodia. I now have 3 small children, who keep me entertained and build patience!

What’s your favourite piece of work you’ve been involved in?

I won’t name one project, but I enjoy working on projects with a focus on driving positive outcomes for people. 

Whether it’s helping non-profits get funding, sustainability startups launch, supporting health outcomes such as assisting ACC to improve recovery times, or gamblers overcoming addiction. 

The best projects are where you have open, trusting relationships with clients where our combined experience can enhance ideas and solve difficult challenges.

Why Octave?

It is all about the people! They are all legends, with great experience and are genuinely fun to be around. I'm excited about Octave’s mission to become NZ’s most interesting agency by doing truly different, important work. They certainly have some of the most talented and interesting people I’ve met.

I’m interested in how businesses can harness and integrate the power of data, research and creative ideas to build transformational digital experiences and ecosystems. I love the craft of design, the challenge of accessibility and focussing on the longer-term impacts of the digital solutions we create, ensuring they genuinely support people to meet their goals.

I'm very much looking forward to the season ahead.
