In a world where the arts have the power to inspire, provoke, and transform, Tāwhiri stands out as a beacon of creative force in Aotearoa. dedicated to nurturing the vibrant array of festivals and immersive experiences, and cultivating a diverse cultural landscape. At its core, it embraces a mission deeply intertwined with enriching the community, reflecting the essence of its very name.

Octave has been in partnership with Tāwhiri working together across a number of projects. Recently, we worked together on "Choose Your Price” with Tāwhiri and iTicket to develop a value-based ticketing platform, integrated with iTicket’s management system. Choose Your Price is an innovative pricing model that enables individuals to choose a ticket price aligned with their financial preferences. It puts the power in the hands of the art enthusiasts.  As an organization, Tāwhiri is committed to nurturing accessibility, recognizing that the benefits of arts extend far beyond attendance - making arts available to all who seek them.

What Choose your Price means for your ticket purchase

  1. The recommended price, enables you to choose to pay a little extra
  2. By paying a little extra than the recommended price you’ll be helping other New Zealanders to attend the event too, increasing opportunities for more people to experience the arts
  3. If the price is more than what you’d put forward - pay what you can
  4. Choose your preferred seat anywhere in the venue
  5. Enjoy the arts experience live!

Tāwhiri is the creative force behind Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Wellington Jazz Festival, Lexus Song Quest, and Te Hui Ahurei Reo Māori o Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Their influence transcends entertainment, enriching the cultural landscape. Choose Your Price serves as a platform dedicated to expanding Tāwhiri's event outreach and fosters an inclusive ecosystem that supports diverse participation.
