Volpara is one of those organisations that flies the New Zealand flag proudly around the world but is little-known here at home. The nature of their work – dealing directly with experts who are making a positive impact for people suffering from cancer – is both innovative and deeply important.
Volpara arms specialists around the world with the best software for ongoing risk assessment by leveraging AI to make quick work of tricky detection. Volpara® Science™ has analyzed over 56 million mammography images and has assessed the breast composition of more than 13.5 million women across 39 countries. Off the back of a recent rebrand, and a shift in focus to creating a “branded-house” of products, Volpara partnered with us to deliver a new website.
An early design concept established a shared vision for the project from the get-go. This concept design was a sandbox for experimenting with Volpara’s new brand, which needed expanding in the digital space.
Once a shared vision was established, the next focal point for this project was exploring ways to fit content and design together beautifully, making sure clarity was king. This was where Volpara’s design teams and ours spent a lot of time collaborating to ensure that we had the right balance of ideas in the mix.
The project team, spread out across New Zealand and the United States, stayed tightly knit – through lockdowns and presidential elections.
Volpara’s new website is visually clean and simple, but behind-the-scenes are a wide array of customisable blocks for content managers to play with. The project team delivered a website which shares Volpara’s mission, their products, and the research that sits behind their technology. Patients get value from this new website through being able to better understand their results.
Apart from creating a simpler, snappier, and salient user experience, this project has set the foundations for further features, content, and campaigns. Volpara now has a flexible and extensible website that can flex and grow with them as they build clout in the American market.
